Hiiii,

Went to the spa last night to film Musicport 2010.

Was a really good experience and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

We filmed the sound-checks and the final rehersels before getting to catch some of the real thing!

There was lots going on such as the performances on the main stage, the shopping stalls around the balcony and the smaller performances around the spa.

Im Becky and i go to Headlands school.

I have been getting involved with the media side of things for Musicport.

So far, since wednesday, we have been learning about different media skills to use.

We have recorded some of the rehearsels taking place and interviewed some of the students.

We are going to the spa tonight, to video capture the final rehearsels and performances.

heey, this is jess and im helping at music port with the media side of things, and this is what we have been doing since wednesday :)

we are at headlands school filming the rehersals of the singers and the people playing instruments.

we have been interviewing, editing and filming all for musicport.

Musicport 2010 at Headlands School - Media Project

Musicport is working with Music4U - the Humber Region Action Zone -

for the 3rd year running to provide music making opportunities for young people

Humber Night Challenge

On a very cold and frosty Saturday night in March, 105 young people trekked over 14 1/2 miles in open countryside in Elsham, North East Lincolnshire as part of the Lifestyle Humber Night challenge 2010.



Young people from across the Humberside area took part, testing their endurance and their team building skills. There were lots of team challenges along the way but everyone who took part completed the course and came away with a huge sense of achievement.

Sport Lincs Fair Play Football Tournament

Fair Play is a football tournament aimed at young people 13 - 19 who take part in our academies and is completely free. It looks to provide an outlet for young people to take part in positive activities rather than hang around on the street being totally bored. Bonfire Night - Hull Marina

Had a great night yesterday at the launch of not just noise at Hull Marina, staff and students from Cottingham High School did a fantastic job with a pretty gruelling media schedule including interviews and photos for Viking FM, KCFM, Hull Daily Mail and Look North. We also had roaming cameras out and about catching quick interviews with everyone involved so keep checking back for the pics and video of the night.

Young vs Old | Young People of Grimsby

A group of young people from Grimsby investigate stereotyping, antisocial behavior and make suggestions for improvements. They suggest that young people should be given a voice and have access to more positive opportunities.
